Trails between isolated traditional villages across alpine meadows provide excellent hiking opportunities, with scenery including lush forests and high-altitude glaciers. The area abounds with around 250 bird species, including the rare tragopan, and snow leopards, as well as brown and black bears, can also be spotted. The valley serves as a good base for exploring the peaks, with numerous campsites to stay at along the way. Dip your feet in the cold river and admire the snow-capped peaks. The Tirthan River, abundant with trout, is a paradise for keen anglers.
