They are my neighbours in my hometown. Husband and wife . They are making pickle of the super vegetable of Himalya named “#Lingdi” . Lingdi, the Himalayan superfood –
Amongst vegetables , the best ones are the wild and uncultivated ones. The ones that Mother Nature decides to best giving upon us. Lingdi is one such Himalayan vegetable amongst the thousands varieties that grow across our country.
The Himalayan people will turn it into Sabzi and curry but the most popular method is to pickle it, that way it’s accessible for the entire year.
As the snows vanish, summer settles and rains appear, this green little thing will curl its head up. The ones who appreciate the good life will then seek and source it from the high mountains of Himalaya.
Wisdom meets us in the unlikeliest of places, it searches us while we are lost, it touches us while we are numbed. These mountains and even the lingdi, is what makes Himalaya what they are, a journey to self discovery.
But getting back to the point, lingdi is popular for its ability to make clean blood, it’s rich in B vitamins, Vit C and carotenes too. So, good for immunity, skin and the gut. Soak in.
Learning from the villagers about the natural life is the best experience. Keep learning from your elders and spread the actual knowledge to the society. 💓
And , they both are looking perfect together! ♥️
